AAS

Tried to run AAS today..trying to learn A-Z step, starting from switching on the plug, gases, flame, check on sensitivity, troubleshooting and running few standards...

AAS, use only acetylene and Nitrous oxide gases but it depends on the metal of interest..could detect only 1 metal at a time. need to have its own metal lamp before can proceed with experiment. If we want to run Nickel and Manganese, have to make sure we have those lamps..Need to prepare ultra pure water (UPW) and nitric acid for washing (3-5%).

It doesnt require long time for warming up, only about half an hour..likewise ICP, it requires at least 3 hours and more complicated during start up. I found out that using AAS, could make my life easier..heheh but the problem is, it could not detect metals at more than 5ppm.Cancel using AAS, so we end up just trying to familiarize with it..

I have gastric since I was in Diploma..Terrible one starts when I was in Semester 4 if Im not mistaken..I didnt go to class, and always have to go to clinic to take medicines..

When I was in Degree, I didnt have much problem with my stomach...maybe coz im leading a happy life..? hehehe no stress at all..enjoying work, classes, assignments, good relationship with family, friends and lecturers...but still I have to take medications if things get worst...sometimes, especially fasting month..Ill get my medicine HISTAC, from Pusat Kesihatan...2 tablet a day, 1 for sahur and one for buka puasa..thats how my life works with medicine...

But now, its getting worst..previously I only have the feeling of unease at the lower abdomen, u can feel like 10 people is trying to pull ur nerves in stomach...I can feel the pain, its so painful..

Now, its the feeling of acids u know like, moving upward from ur stomach to the esophagus and to your mouth..its so painful..sometimes, ull feel like u cant eat anything, when u even drink, feels like choking, when u eat, u can feel that its so pedih la..

So i went to the clinic this morning to get some medicines, they gave me..

1. Pariet 20mg rabeprazole sodium (controlled medicine)
2. Maalox Plus Tab gelusil tab
3. Buscopan 10mg

need to finish it allllll!!!! huhu oh, by the way, the DR. asked me...

makan lambat? stress? bnyk keja? hahaah its all TRUE!

Mock viva..

Mock viva was held at our lab, old civil building..

Viva for 2 colleagues, its for the preparation of the viva for masters..

1. How do u know that this method is cheaper?
2. Have u make any comparison?
3. relevance of objective to your work?
4. of all heavy metals, y only nickel?
5. there are a lot of contaminated area, y x study other metals?
6. which is more advantages? production of methane or sulphide?
7. y nagaoka?
8. how u know mpb or srb?
9. if u get it from someone else, how can u verify whether it is correct?
10. how much surpluss of H2S in your experiment?
11. where did it go if sulphide does not fully react with heavy metals?
12. look at the mass balance n explain
13. y decide 3ppm Cu?
14. y choose pearson?
15. possible pathway for sulphide oxidation?
16. how did u know that the assumption is correct?
17. what are the probles associated with sulphide?

at least i got the overview on the questions been asked by panels n i can prepare some answers..hope my viva time, i can answer all question ask by panel confidently although it seems impossible..! ill try my best from now on to understand what im doing, look back at all the basic things and try to generate on question just to trigger me..! he..:-)

House-MESSY??

Emmmm...im all by myself? hahaha...so meaning that im alone in my house for quite some time...sure when mom come back and she is gonna be truly shock...hahaha

Coz i usually dont have time to do some cleaning..

Too focus and too dedicated to my work..haha

so to avoid that, I do some cleaning today...coz i want to clean up the toilet, so i clean up the hall n kitchen too..throwing unwanted things, sweep, mop the floor, washing my clothes n some many things n im sweating..which is GOOD...makes me feel healthier and not always feeling sleepy..hehe

will continue on cleaning up house tomorrow, now its bathing time and after that I can go to the dumpster downstairs to dump everything!!
