sis was with me today, helping...(helping? i pay her okay!) but not much la, just to help with few things...

as usual, sampling, transport 30L++ wastewater to Lab level 2, withdraw old wastewater, replace with new one, purge almost 30mins with nitrogen gas, withdraw few sets of samples and thats it! & dont forget to cover it up with aluminium foil!

• hahaha, running samples for both compounds-sulphate using IC & metals using ICP..
• Ive warmed up both instrument, IC requires at least 1hour, ICP requires 3 hours..
• Ive prepared standards, acids, blank..so now, time for me to rest while waiting for the instrument...

• Now i have some time to check emails and write down here in my blog..

• usually, the most busiest time of the day is around 8-11am. the rest from 11-5pm, im a bit free, i can use that time to check blog, write up, check email again and so on..

so far run for, emmm..how many samples ya for today, let me check 1st...

About 14 samples...exclude the warm up and flush twice...

now only few minutes left coz im flushing the column, and im ready to go back HOME!

Husna in d house

Haloo, morning people! yesterday, my uncle came n visit us...the best part is, going to meet HUSNA! hehehe she is so chUBBY!...weight about 17kg now! wow, heavy.....I cant even lift her up..huhu Ive attached her pics as below:

FYI, its frozen yogurt not ice cream as others have mentioned previously..I dont know y, it is called ice cream while its not, i love this but its just that i think this branch is just not to what we expected...Im going to try this again at another outlet...cost us about RM23 for 2 cup filled with various flavors and toppings! enjoy yours too ya!

Surface area of biofilm

Finally, I got the answers already!!

I didnt use the method of calculating as suggested by the company, I just use the normal maths calculation..

1. calculating the total surface area of bioblock (14)
2. calculating the surface area of reactor (cylinder)
3. Total surface area of biofilm= (1)+(2)....TADA!

the unit for biological sulphide produced per biofilm surface area would be in mg S/L.m2
